French soldier shoots 17 in hostage-taking exercise

At army barrack in the French city of Carcassone during a public demonstration of hostage taking exercise by French military Marine Parachute regiment because of resons unknown a French soldier went mad and started firing live rounds of ammunition on the crowd of people who were watching the exercise.

Even the French President Mr. Sarkozy had to give an official statement regarding this tragedy. He has promised severe punishment for the soldier responsible.
