China reiterates that it had ruled Tibet for centuries but Tibetans say their country was independent during that era.

According to a latest report by Human Rights watch dog Amnesty International our of 4,000 protestors detained by Chinese authorities in recent protestst there is no clue about 1000 detainees. Some of the remaining among three thousand were either released or put under formal arrest by Chinese authorities.

The Asia-Pacific director of Amnesty said :

“There is very little information coming out of Tibet, but the information we have paints a dire picture of arbitrary detentions and abuse of detainees,” he said. “With the torch relay about to enter Tibetan areas, this should be an opportunity to shine some light on the situation there.”

Due to Western media against China such news come out in front of us.
But what about Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan were atrocities are being committed by Western forces ?

I really hope that they are safe. I don't know why UN or developed countries government is not doing enough to raise this issue. China may have become big enough to have some clout, but still it can't survive on its own and will have to give ear if the world shout loud enough.

They’re called ’desaparecidos.’ It’s one of the oldest military tactics to thin out enemy lines.
