In a latest development Uttar Pradesh Government allowed Government doctors to do private practice. Of course this deal has some tags attached to it. Like such Doctors’ jobs will be on contractual basis. They won’t be getting administrative posts. This is a result of a long standing quarrel between Professors of a Medical college in UP.

Implications of this new measure on public health is still difficult to forcast but it is likely that such doctors will pay more attention to paying patients.
